Today the traffic throughput profiling script MoonGen/examples/opnfv-vsperf.lua takes several command line parameters as show below. Additionally, some default parameter values can also be edited within opnfv-vsperf.lua.

Instead of having to all of these parameter, and in the interest of expanding the parameter list, it is thought that it may be better to implement a source configuration file that is interpreted at the beginning of ipnfv-vsperf.lua execution.

Thus the configuration file will be the only thing that should be custom edited during opnfv-vsperf.lua execution - no more editing the Lua script itself or managing multiple command line parameters.
